Couple of twelve drinks..

I want to learn to knit.  For real.  I love handmade articles of clothing; accessories; etc.  Even if it is something I wouldn't wear.  I just really appreciate the amount of time, thought, dedication, and skill used to concieve something that is so unique.  For such a long time it has been a lost art, maybe a lost industry.  Who knows?  Although.. Candy and I had a discussion recently regarding the recent boom in small time crafters, artisans, and designers.  Thanks to the advent of organizations like Etsy, lesser known designers can thrive and make a name for themselves, or at the very least produce items which can be bought and sold in the real world.  This is exciting.  The concept of designing, producing, selling...all the way to buying and wearing in these cases is far more visceral for involved parties...  At least I imagine it that way.  Farbeit for me to declare buying fashion from large chain retailers, boutiques, etc as mindless, because that is not how I feel.  I think fashion can be as cerebral, intuitive, forged, copied, or new as any other process in the world.  That is just how it is.

What strikes me so deeply about the diminutive designers, though, is the passion that will go in to creating.  Even someone who produces items which bare a likeness to mass produced lines, it's still unique, and still their very own.  The opportunity to design EXACTLY what you want, and EXACTLY who you want it to go to is completely viable.  Your overhead is low, and your creativity is unhindered.  Fuck yea!

Here is a Scarf which Candy is knitting for me.  It's a very painstaking process.  The knit is very intricate..or at least to me.  Small by comparison to what I normally see.  It's several months of work in so far, with only about a 3rd of the length completed..from what I understand.

It's coming out beautiful, and I can't wait to finally wear it.  The colors are magnificant, and while I don't normally wear these colors..at least I don't recall any of my clothes being this color.. I think it will work pretty well on me.  At least I hope!

I'm really grateful for the work, obviously, but I wish I could knit some things for myself.  Even something small.  I also would like to start fitting my clothes to myself more appropriately.  I don't want to rely on her all the time.

Plus, I need a plethura of cowls and scarves for the upcoming seasons..you know..appropriate bike wear.

Speaking of bike.  I like to bike.  I haven't been biking as much as I'd like.  No one wants to bike.  And biking alone can be boring.  Well..if you have no destination.  Which I rarely do!  I brought my bike into work today so I could mash a little on my breaks.  It's fun.  I enjoy it because I know I can only blast around for a little while before I have to return.  It's refreshing.  Keeps me cooled down.  And I've been stressing pretty hard lately.

And that brings me to my next point.  GROW THE FUCK UP!  Hahaha..yeaaaaaa.

I want tattoos >_>

It's been too long since I've gotten any major work done.  I don't look cool enough.  Help me look cool please!

This post is tired.  hahaha.  I'll try to update something more interesting this weekend.  Candy's mom's birthday party is Saturday.  I gotta get a neat present for her!
